Opus 67: Symphony No. 5 in C minor (composed 1804–08, premièred 1808)

One of the best-known compositions in classical music, and one of the most frequently played symphonies. First performed in Vienna's Theater an der Wien in 1808.

Opus 125: Symphony No. 9 in D minor ("Choral") (composed 1817–24, premièred 1824)

The final symphony, completed in 1824, the symphony is one of the best-known works of the repertoire of classical music. Among critics, it is almost universally considered to be Beethoven's greatest work, and is considered by many to be the greatest piece of music ever written
